The Kubita Quartet is a young ensemble founded in June 2024 by members of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, consisting of Filip Kubita (first violin), Kateřina Vítečková (second violin), Michaela Sedláčková (viola), and Petr
Hamerský (cello). Despite its short existence, it has already had the opportunity to perform at venues such as the Czech Center in New York. It has the opportunity to study under Jiří Panocha, founder and first violinist of the Panocha Quartet, and Irena Jakubcová, deputy concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. In August 2025, the quartet became a laureate of the Academy Kroměříž, where it gained valuable experience under the guidance of Pavel Nikl, professor and founding member of the Pavel Haas Quartet. A month later, it participated in a masterclass of selected chamber ensembles with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the Dvořák Prague Festival, where it worked under the guidance of Milan Šetena.

This is a concert by graduates of the Summer Music Academy in Kroměříž, founded and sponsored by the world-renowned Czech conductor Tomáš Netopil. Young artists and the program will be selected in August 2025 from the fields of singing, violin, cello, harpsichord, and chamber music – string quartets. A concert by soloists and the LHAK orchestra conducted by Tomáš Netopil is also being discussed. VZLET will establish long-term cooperation with the Summer Music Academy in Kroměříž in 2025 in the form of a concert by academy graduates and other activities.
