Mass in B minor
Bach’s Mass in B minor ranks among the most admired works of European music. In this monumental setting of the Mass text, composed toward the end of his life, the Leipzig master created a breathtaking compendium of his compositional mastery. Nearly a hundred years would pass before the work was performed in its entirety, by which time it had come to be regarded as an immortal monument to human creativity and to the unsurpassed genius of its creator.
