The oratorio Abramo ed Isacco (originally entitled Isacco, figura del redentore) on the popular libretto by Pietro Metastasio is considered one of the absolute peaks of Josef Mysliveček's oeuvre. It premiered in Florence and later met with great success in Munich. In the past, it used to be wrongly attributed to W. A. Mozart.
