Bach—Pisendel
The music of Johann Sebastian Bach represents an important focus in the repertoire of Collegium 1704. The Prague Baroque Orchestra was even founded, under the direction of the harpsichordist and conductor Václav Luks, on the occasion of the project »Bach - Prague - 2005«. In addition, the ensemble retains a passionate interest in the music of Dresden, which was one of the leading music cities in the Baroque era. Johann Georg Pisendel, composer and one of the most famous violinists of his time, worked in Dresden for most of his life.
